The Incredibles 2 (2018)

Description: ‘a group of people with a range of unusual and outstanding abilities commissioned to embark on mindblowing and unlikely missions with little time to spare and the odds against them’. Comment: The cartoon is very inventive and entertaining with lots of quirky characters. Well worth a watch.

Watch out for: lots of new superheroes; and contemporary comment on women and men’s changing working and domestic roles (yes, indeed: it’s social realism as much as escapist fantasy !). Verdict: 4.5/5 31 July 2018
